How it Began
It all started with an idea based on my own history. As a childhood survivor of a rare cancer called Retinoblastoma, my parents were never sure if I would be able to see or learn to read. This would later lead to what would now be called early interventions.
My own early educational issues stemming from the effects of frontal lobe radiation would later become foundational in my own understanding of the struggles students and their parents might face. I became interested in learning challenges after working internationally and seeing the limited availability of help for children who learned differently.
After two decades of international teaching, I followed a career path that would train me in understanding diagnostic testing and later add counseling to my résumé.
As a husband and father, I understand the challenges and stressors that can come from raising a child with learning challenges.
